Re: UEFA Champions League 2025/26 Season
in Gambling discussion
I agree, football is unpredictable, but to be realistic, at the moment i think Arsenal are the better team for one simple reason they look more prepared and are giving 100%. Inter have the home advantage, but weve seen that it doesnt really mean much. Far from being a bad team, Inter definitely have quality, but i think Arsenal are currently well ahead of them

For the EPL, maybe they are that prepared but for the UCL, I dont figure Arsenal to be that ready to lift this prestigious trophy.

The UCL is a league where a great degree of experience with the league has always played out and with Arsenal not having an experience with the league, it would be really difficult for them to win this like we all would like them to do. Arsenal has done a lot and showed a lot of progress in their games but, can they hold it and remain consistent? Fatigue could become a problem going forward.

It is not all black and white. If I am not mistaken, it was Arsenal that knocked out Real Madrid last time in the Champions League with a total result of 5-1 in both legs. Let me remind you that Arsenal knocked out the most experienced team there has ever been in the Champions League to this date. I think that is proof enough that there is sufficient reason to believe they do have a shot here.

At the moment there is no team as dominant as PSG used to be in 24/25. PSG is not leading Ligue 1, almost lost against Marseille a few days ago and Real Madrid got their coach fired. Manchester City couldn't win the last three games in the Premier League and Inter and AC Milan are far from a perfect record in Serie A.

The only team that seems to be ahead of the rest is Bayern Munich for now, but then guess who was the only team to beat Bayern this season? Arsenal! Wink

Barcelona looked very strong in 24/25 and yet got knocked out by Inter Milan. It's difficult to ever predict the winner in this competition, but I think considering performances in domestic leagues, Barcelona, Bayern and Arsenal can very well be considered favourites along with a few other clubs.

Re: The US President planning to eliminate all taxes on gambling winnings
in Gambling discussion

This is interesting news, I just came across this not quite long.. If the US remove taxes on gambling winnings, that would be good news for gamblers based in US. Because ive hear people complain that paying tax after they win always felt like a second loss, especially on big wins.

If this happens, it may attract more players and boost gambling activity in the US. Because I wont lie, keeping 100% of winnings instead of handing some portion to the government is really cool.

source

I doubt this is correct as he actually implemented a lower cap on deductions for gambling losses within the Big Beautiful Bill. I don't see why he would lower the cap, pass the law that that now took effect and then considered abandoning tax on gambling altogether. I think he might have been asked about this and perhaps gave an unclear or mysterious answer about it, but it is not realistic to assume that he will abandon part of the Big Beautiful Bill that was literally just enacted.

Then again never say never since we are talking about Trump Cheesy

There are currently reports that Real Madrid have let Xabi go.

Stupid Madridistas. They will pay for this Smiley

I think Xabi could be a good option for Manchester United, but of course, the Spanish manager might not want to manage a team right away. I think Manchester United could talk to him if he becomes available at the end of the season. Especially someone like Xabi, who is young and ambitious and wants to advance his career, could be a very valuable asset to Manchester United.

What are you smoking? He is a Liverpool legend. He won't ever entertain United.

That's the beauty of being a coach in sports having long contract durations. What these guys call disappointment when they get fired, can't ever be compared to what a normal human being calls disappointment when they get fired. Alonso walks home with a huge bag of cash exactly because he got fired.

Great to have you around in the gambling discussion section @NotATether. I am damn sure I will read more often that you ask people what they smoked while writing their posts Cheesy This was actually harmless. You will come across stuff that will blow your mind!

I'll give you a little taste from the Bundesliga thread, enjoy!

Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Bundesliga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2025/2026
in Gambling discussion
Nice one, let me pat myself on the back for pipping LTU and keeping this season interesting. Seems like we will all be swapping places many times. We had only one same pick but scored 3 points anyway for correct outcomes. Good thing I put my picks in so much earlier than usual. I still remember the missed 4 points from forgetting to check submissions went through.

Oh thank god, @buwaytress please be nice and let me know when the time has come that someone is waiting to flip places with me! Otherwise I might miss this golden opportunity. Didn't know flipping places every now and then was a feature of this Bundesliga pool Wink

Damn, now the guy I accuse of using ChatGPT for his answers, leads the German Bundesliga pool. Maybe I should start using ChatGPT as well Wink

Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread
in Gambling discussion

Oh damn, it never gets boring! Cheesy
Is it only this thread or is it as wild in other football threads as well?

No, it's the same everywhere
Just a few moments ago, some idiot said that Milan lost its touch and allowed Fiorentina to score the equalizer, some moron thought the Cop Del Rey was final was being played, and I don't frequent the Premier League topic but that is the truly spamfest of all, probably they still think Beckham is playing in there!

But obviously it is not very likely, that is why it is 13.00 Wink
Good luck!

Bruh, 8-1!!!
It was like they got mad at somebody betting against them, 8-1!!!!
Oh, next is Koln, 4x for the 1x and 6.5 for Koln draw not bet!

At least I don't have to double down!

But let's be honest, if it's not for some expert talk in all these football discussion threads, it is definitely for the lolz going through some of the posts! For sure not exactly the place where I get my special information to place my next bets Cheesy

Damn, that 8-1 was a clear sign, but seriously, I'd rather get my bet destroyed by an 8-1 than a last minute goal taking potential winnings away from me.

The thing is, now that Kompany is bringing on so many younger players and they all do well and are super motivated to show themselves at their best whenever they can, I think even rotation doesn't play in favour of those who bet against Bayern. This 8-1 was quite crazy.

Kln is playing at home, might obviously be helpful, but they are in a horrible downtrend. Then again, nothing else to say about Mainz apart from the fact that they have at least not lost the last three games. If Mainz can do it, Kln should be able to, but Bayern seems to be running hot quickly this year.

Re: How I Helped an Illiterate Person Invest in Bitcoin (Safely & Responsibly)
in Nigeria (Naija)
You said illiterate? Then why are you teaching him again? You don't have to team an illiterate person to invest in bitcoin instead you invest foe him. You can create a separate wallet for the investment but not to give him the seed phrase but you secure everything for him.
This advice is worse than what OP did. You might as well take up mv1986 offer.

I strongly assume you have been sarcastic here because there is no existing offer. Setting up wallets for a person, even a friend, is a stupid thing to do. I have had the same situation, someone asked me to set it up for him, very close friend, and I told him on the phone that I won't do it because even when he gets hacked, I could never prove that it wasn't me who stole it. Just avoid this kind of situations. Introduce them how to set it up themselves as there are many ways to do it. But make sure they bear the final responsibility for their keys.

Oh yeah I did see it was kinda close but no cigar Grin Grin

I had a slight bit of happiness but it was so fleeting as time kept running out, but I knew it was over though my season has just been forgetful. As far as AFCON I didn't look at any odds I just picked based off who I liked. Grin Grin

Good luck to you too bro, I Know I'll need it. Grin Grin

And to make things even worse for you, Barcelona won the game. Man no kidding, this would have been a spectacular turnaround for you Cheesy I would have smashed my head in the wall especially because I hedged the first game and when three goals were not even scored, I thought no way this AFCON game is ending with six goals, no more hedge needed.

On a side not, the odds for over 4.5 were 11.00 in that game and for over 5.5 it was, I can't remember. I could have just put $5 and I would have been fine in terms of compensation for a loss. But then discarded the option because many of these AFCON games hardly end with three goals, let alone four goals.

Damn, it was close and I guarantee you next time I won't be stingy and rather place that $5 bet Cheesy
