Re: Want to win big but dont want to bet big?
in Gambling discussion
If you have control over how much you can spend out of the money you have and the ones which are disposable, that's a good one, but you also need to study and limit the amount of time which you also spend on the board because you can have an amount limit to spend from your budget, but if you are lucky and get some winnings, that limit might never get finished, which is where time control comes in; if not, you will end up losing that money you manage to win.
Limiting amount we can spend on gambling is important so that we don't have to use all the bankroll to gamble for nothing.
I gamble with the amount I know I can afford to lose and this is the pattern we ought to use and gamble.
Using small stake to bet is better than using big stake and later losing the money for nothing.
Some people who use a big amount to gamble on a goal always believe that the higher they risk, the higher the profit they will get if the game enters as they plan; they forget that the more they risk, the more they will lose, and when that winning they are craving for finally comes, it can't be enough to cover up what they have been risking all this while. Gambling with an amount we can afford is not enough; we should all learn how to manage that amount wisely.

Re: Can changing IPs while traveling get you flagged by casinos?
in Gambling discussion
Already completed KYC verification should make your account safer from getting banned but getting flagged? Definitely can, Casinos usually doing analyze to an account that they think doing some illegal activities. If you're playing from restricted countries then you shouldn't able to open the casino website, I once open my account from restricted countries and not able to open it except using VPN.
If you have passed KYC already, it will make it different, but if your account is frequently discovered to log in from areas that don't match your country, it will make them ask for further verification even if you are using a VPN, and that further verification will bring them to the notice that you are in a restricted country.

Re: The US President planning to eliminate all taxes on gambling winnings
in Gambling discussion
Under the tax law act, not everything should be be taxable and I appreciate that US understands for this and accept to implement on it, they have to start to think in such a way that encourage the people for patriotism, this will make everyone feels the same justice they needed and to have more confidence in the government they are having, others countries should make review and readjust where necessary.
I think it's too early to appreciate the US government for such. Trump just made the statement, and I have not seen any legal moves towards that being achieved, so we should wait for action to be taken first before we start appreciating them. Politicians are not to be trusted by their words alone, especially when it's something that has to do with giving the seated government more revenue.

Re: Sometimes You Need a Break
in Gambling discussion
A big loss can make you consider stopping, and most importantly, you should learn from it that you shouldn't bet too much, more than you're willing to lose in a single bet. There's no bet worth believing in enough to bet half your deposit, this is a lesson worth learning and never repeating. All bets should be viewed as equally risky, because I think everyone has seen the safest bet turn into a losing one. A break can be helpful to realize this and return with new experience.
Viewing every bet with an equal risk level is a practice that has not only helped many manage the bankroll properly, but it has also saved them from being emotionally traumatized as a result of putting too much confidence in a particular game which ends up disappointing them.

Re: Best way to help an addicted gambler
in Gambling discussion
Most times, they will need our help, so that we can come in and help where necessary, we cant take extra time to discover on where the fault lies and try to suggest them on some possible ways that can serves a rescue routes from the addiction, who knows they might be effective if we give a try.
If we don't spend time with someone who is addicted, we won't know how to help them, and it's only when we know how they react and what can work for them that we can proceed with an option, but what the man described in the OP plans to do is a very hard thing and can cause more damage to the person than the help he's trying to render.

Re: Why do we bet small on slots but go big on sports?
in Gambling discussion
We all gamble the same way; we have to reduce the amount we spend in one spin in order to increase the number of times we can go for the little budget we have, and the spin with a little amount can give us what one high stake on sport can't give us. We are also likely to lose it in a slot compared to the level of winning chances we have in sports betting.

Re: Is this bullish news for Bitcoin?
in Bitcoin Discussion
The more people become vocal about a supercycle, the opposite likely is more probable. But if it happens, we've got an extended celebration I guess.
I share the same thoughts with you; when we talk about something too much in this crypto industry, it always turns out for such not to come to pass the way we expect of it, and even CZ, who made that tweet, is unsure and understands how the market works. The chances of it happening are slim; we might just see a little market push up, but not as high as many are bullish about it.

Re: The legacy of BTC is all in our hands.
in Bitcoin Discussion
Those who are only after for the quick profit will easily get disappointed in this market. But if you happen to understand and see its advantage beyond its high volatility will stay and make the most of it
You are correct since Bitcoin doesn't guarantee fast profit; coming to invest in it with the hope of getting profit quickly will be very disappointing for anyone who has that mentality. Before investing in Bitcoin, sometimes their time of investing might even be the time when the market will start settling, reducing their capital firsthand, which will shift their attention into looking for means to regain what has been left in their portfolio rather than the profit they were expecting.

Re: Stay quiet if it doesn't work for you.
in Off-topic (Naija)
Many individuals has lost their great potentials, not because they can not do what they want but because of the awful things they hear from people that have lost in that particular field.
Some have changed their mind because of what people have said about something which might have been a good thing to some of them and at the same time a bad thing to the ones whom it could have favoured, but anyone who wants to go into any form of business is not supposed to just be reliant on getting information and data from one source; they should be able to go into the market and do a survey themselves in order for them to decide on what to do and what not to do. What works for Mr A most times might not work for B; the same is also applicable in reverse.
